The full facility includes state of the art amenities:

  • Three-Story Child Watch Playplace with tunnels, slides and activities - RESERVABLE with Birthday Party packages
  • Aerobics and strength-training center
  • Four Court Basketball Gym and Pickleball Courts
  • Special needs/family locker rooms
  • Group exercise and youth development multi-purpose rooms
  • Room Rentals available for Birthday parties and other groups additional amenities available

Programs offered at the West YMCA

Summer Adventures

  • Fun, Safe & Healthy for Kindergarten through 6th Grade
  • All staff certified and trained for safety
  • Program runs from  7:30am and ends at 5:30pm
  • Breakfast, lunch and snack included for one low price
  • Includes tons of healthy and fun adventures all over the QC's
  • Cost: $119 for Y Household Members/$150 for Community per week
  • One-time $25 Registration Fee covers camp t-shirt and all field trip costs
  • Optional $50 non-refundable deposit will reserve a spot (recommended)

AFTER SCHOOL ADVENTURES

  • Provides peace of mind knowing that your child is being cared for in a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
  • After School Care is provided for the entire davenport school district however, the school bus transportation will only be available at Wilson Elementary School.
  • The program hours are provided from school dismissal until 6:00pm. Fees also include early dismissals.
  • For kids entering K through 6th grade
  • Cost: Weekly Rate of $29 for Members/ $59 for Non Members

NO SCHOOL DAYS

NEW this year this program will be held at our Camp Abe Lincoln with transportation being provided from our branches.

Cost: $25 Members/ $35 Non Members

TAE KWON DO

  • Weekly Classes available for children ages 7+ ( Adults and Parents Welcomed)
  • Instructor Grand Master Staples and Jennifer Staples provide students with training and guidance in Health, Mind, Body, and Spirit
  • When: Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-7:30 PM

Currently reside in Blue Grass, Iowa Schools: Clinton High School—Scott Community College—Associate in Science Experience in Personal Training and Wellness: Wellness Coach for 9 years. Eight years of one on one and group personal Training experience at multiple facilities and in home. Ten years of Group Exercise training and multiple class certifications. I got into Health and Fitness because: Fitness has always been a passion of mine. I have been involved in sports from the time I can remember and have always had a very energetic and positive attitude. I love working with people and feel strongly about the benefits of fitness. It was inevitable that my life would take me into training others those benefits. Sharing my knowledge of exercise and giving people the tools for their own success in being a healthier and happier person, is extremely rewarding. Something interesting you may not know about me: I have an acreage with 2 Boxers, 2 cats, 2 geese, 1 guinea fowl, 5 ducks, and 3 chickens. Something interesting you may not know about me: I did some local modeling out of high school and made a trip to New York with the agency to try to land a modeling career. I played football from 4th grade through 12th, and my freshman year is when I found my passion for fitness and health. Seeing my body improve and get stronger only made me that much more excited to get into the field. I then began my undergraduate at the University of Northern Iowa where I am majoring in Movement & Exercise Science. I am striving toward a career in Occupational Therapy after I complete school. I became a personal trainer because I want to help others have the same positive experience I had with health and fitness. I want to show people that exercise is a fun and important aspect of life and not just another thing to check off the list everyday. Pushing the body to its potential is such a satisfying and rewarding experience, not to mention the relationships you make with a community of people who are all trying to better themselves.
