GRAVITY is a body-weight training system with eight calibrated resistance levels, a rolling glide board and dynamic cable pulley system. There are 250 functional movements possible! Workouts engage the core and all major muscle groups for strength and endurance training.

Enhance Fitness is geared toward older adults of all fitness levels. If you have a chronic condition, such as arthritis, you may be able to gain more strength and independence. You will feel energized - physically, mentally and socially - and be surrounded by people who care about your success.
The Facts Tell The Story: Research has shown that among older adults who participate in EnhanceFitness, health costs were lowered by close to $1,000 and 9 out of 10 people stay with the program. In addition, 99 percent say they'd recommend the program to a friend.
Enhance Fitness is a new 16-week program that meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 - 2:00 pm!
16 week session fee: Members: $60 and Non-Members: $80

Helping older adults develop balance, strength, coordination and confidence!

Hometown: Davenport, IA Schools: Capri College Experience in Personal Training and Wellness: Played competitive roller derby for 6 years. I have been a captain and coach for both an adult and youth roller derby league. I have ran multiple cross training sessions for adults and youth. I also compete in crossfit. --- I got into Health and Fitness after joining a competitive sport. Fitness training and prehab became a passion of mine. I stopped focusing on “losing weight” and put that focus towards training to improve my strength and movements. I loved helping my teammates gain strength and endurance to help them become better skaters. I like to share my passion with others so they can see what their bodies are truly capable of. Something interesting you may not know about me: I am an aggressive quad skater. You can find me roller skating around the quad cities, in the streets or at multiple skate parks on ramps.
Certifications: ACE Personal Training, Power Pilates, and 200 hr Yoga. Specialty certifications in Orthopedic Exercise, Weight Management, and Senior Fitness.

Been with the YMCA since: August 2015 Hometown: South Amana, IA Schools: Black Hawk College; AAS Physical Therapist Assistant, Iowa Wesleyan University; BA Recreation Experience in Personal Training and Wellness: I have been a practicing PTA for 16 yrs.I have worked in hospital and outpatient settings, mostly inpatient Neurology. I added Personal Training to my toolbox in preparation for retirement . I got into Health and Fitness as a second career. The body, how it, works and how to fix it have been a lifelong interest to me. I became a trainer to reach more people and assist them on their journey. My own journey has been a challenging, one that I still continue today. I had a doctor tell me I would never play sports again at 17. With hard work I went on to play collegiate softball.

Experience in Personal Training and Wellness: Received Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health, specialization in Exercise Science in May of 2017. I got into Health and Fitness because: Exercise is a passion of mine and I want to help others on their journey. I will do all that I can to help people reach their health and fitness goals. Personally, I enjoy kayaking or hiking trails somewhere off the grid.

The majority of that time was spent working with High School athletes in the St Louis and Las Vegas areas via outreach Physical Therapy companies. I really love to bring my medical and fitness backgrounds together when working with athletes of all types. Something interesting you may not know about me: Backpacking is one of my favorite activities! I was 10 years old the first time I went rim to rim through the Grand Canyon! I am also a huge Atlanta Braves fan!
