Certifications: ACE - Certified Personal Trainer, American Red Cross - CPR/First Aid
Been with the YMCA since: January 2019 Hometown: Davenport, IA Schools: Assumption High School, University of Northern Iowa Experience in Personal Training and Wellness: Personal trainer at the University of Northern Iowa, Majoring in Movement & Exercise Science I got into Health and Fitness because: I first got into health and fitness my freshman year of high school. I played football from 4th grade through 12th, and my freshman year is when I found my passion for fitness and health. Seeing my body improve and get stronger only made me that much more excited to get into the field. I then began my undergraduate at the University of Northern Iowa where I am majoring in Movement & Exercise Science. I am striving toward a career in Occupational Therapy after I complete school. I became a personal trainer because I want to help others have the same positive experience I had with health and fitness. I want to show people that exercise is a fun and important aspect of life and not just another thing to check off the list everyday. Pushing the body to its potential is such a satisfying and rewarding experience, not to mention the relationships you make with a community of people who are all trying to better themselves. Something interesting you may not know about me: I had my own article in ORA magazine for a type of surgery performed on me as it was still up and coming.
