The Scott County Family Y’s Licensed Child Care programs:

  • Designed to meet the developmental needs of young children ages 6 weeks through 5 years
  • We provide experiences that enhance and enrich each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical and creative development
  • We operate under all licensing regulations set forth by the State of Iowa’s Quality Rating System
  • All sites are state licensed and exceed the state-mandated ratio of teacher to students

Universal Preschool in Davenport

  • A unique collaboration between the YMCA and Davenport Schools.
  • Funded by the Department of Education
  • No income guidelines to qualify for participation
  • FREE preschool program
  • Children must be 4 years old by September 15th of the current school year
  • Also available: Preschool for 3-year olds $65 per week

SCFY KIDS CLUB PROGRAMS

Before & After School

  • We offer child care in the Bettendorf and Pleasant Valley Community School Districts before and after school
  • *INCLEMENT WEATHER  – When school is cancelled, alternate care is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the YMCA located at 606 W 2nd Street in Davenport for children who are enrolled in the before or after school program. When you get the announcement that school is cancelled, please call 563-322-7171 to make arrangements to attend. THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ALL DAY CANCELLATIONS!  (We do not have transportation, so parents are required to get students to the inclement weather site.)

RIVERDALE SUMMER FUN CLUB

  • Summer Fun Club is offered to any child, 5 years old who has successfully completed Kindergarten through 12 years old
  • Care is offered from 6 AM- 6 PM at Riverdale Heights Elementary School
  • Registration is on a week-by-week basis, this way you only sign up for the weeks that you need
  • Kids will go on weekly field trips, work on craft projects, have reading time, STEAM activities, and more

Care is offered at the following licensed locations:

Davenport Family YMCA – 606 W. 2nd St. – Hours: 6am – 6pm

North Family YMCA – 624 W 53rd St. – Hours: 7am – 5:30pm

West Family YMCA – 3503 W Locust St. – Hours: 7am – 5:30pm

 Kids Day Out

  • School break or in-service days for your school are offered at Paul Norton Elementary School and Riverdale Heights Elementary School (care is only offered at Paul Norton when the calendar is different from the Pleasant Valley School District)
  • We offer care from 6 AM – 6 PM at both locations
  • Your child will be served breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack
  • In order to participate, children must have a complete child information packet at one of our sites and be registered by the deadline on the registration form. If your child is not currently enrolled in Kids Club, please allow extra time to fill out and submit the required forms for your child’s registration packet
