Nothing beats summer time with the Scott County Family Y! We understand that kids and parents want to pack as much fun and excitement as possible into that precious and small amount of time. The YMCA is the perfect place for just about anything a healthy heart desires. From a day to a week to an entire summer at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, (link www.ymcacampabelincoln.org) to five days or three months at our branch YMCA summer youth groups where visitors like the Swing of the Quad Cities, Steamwheelers and even Miss Iowa are known to stop by!  And check out our Summer Fun Club and P.E.P. programs described below.

YMCA P.E.P. Program

The Scott County Family Y’s P.E.P. Program is a partnership with the Davenport Community School District’s Preschool Program.  Through the teaching of our core values CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, and RESPONSIBILITY we will enhance every child’s personal growth, encourage relationship building, and celebrate personal achievement.  In the P.E.P. Program, we offer the “Y-Connection” that gives children an opportunity to experience traditional YMCA programs on a weekly basis.  Children learn about water safety, YMCA camping, youth sports, Fitkids, and a number of other YMCA programs.  The YMCA offers before school care as early as 7 a.m. and after school care until 5:30 p.m. daily.

To obtain additional information about the P.E.P. Program, contact The Children’s Village at Hoover, West, or Hayes.  The P.E.P. Program is another example of the Scott County Family Y’s successful partnerships with the Davenport Community School District.
