Boys & Girls Club
The Scott County Family Y has a collaborative program with the Boys & Girls Club of the Mississippi Valley with a special program called “Superstars”. This is an after-school program catered towards underprivileged children between the ages of 6-18 years.  The Scott County Family Y has always offered licensed after school programs at the downtown Davenport Family YMCA.  This program is offered for families that the parent or guardian is working or in school.  There is a significant number of children whose parents are not working or going to school or feel that their children are old enough to stay at home alone.  It is those children that we are targeting to “drop in” this unique  after school partnership program to receive tutoring, mentoring, recreation & a healthy snack.  The program is from 2:30-6:00 during the school year.  Also “Summer Superstars” is available during the summer from 12-5:30pm.

CASI—Center for Active Seniors, 1035 W. Kimberly, Davenport, IA 52806
The Scott County Family Y is proud to work with CASI to provide senior services to individuals in the area.  (CASI) is the premiere resource center for persons over the age of 60. They are a non-profit agency established in 1973 and have been designated by the State of Iowa to be the focal point of services for the elderly in Scott County.  We have partnered with them to provide facility usage, equipment and programming at all of our Scott County Family Y branches.

Davenport Community School District
The unique shared-use agreements with the Davenport Community School District and the Scott County Family Y at North High School and West High School have provided the students, teachers and the community with a great YMCA facility in their own neighborhood.  The Scott County Family Y provides wrap around child care for the district’s Preschool Education Program (PEP) program in three sites.

 Genesis Health System
The Scott County Family Y in partnership with Genesis Health System developed an $8.5 million facility including the Bettendorf Family YMCA, with a family indoor aquatic center and a cardiac & pulmonary rehabilitation center.

 Metro Swim Team
It seems to have become a fact: great athletes are made in the off-season. The Metro Swim Team provides an essential resource to swimmers of all ages in Davenport. Falcons, Blue Devils and Wildcats are all a part of this competitive squad, as well as young swimmers who are looking to get a head start on their scholastic athletic careers. Top-notch coaching assures that participants will develop and improve.

Operation: Family Time-Out
The Scott County Family Y and the Two Rivers YMCA have partnered with Army Community Service, the Iowa State Extension, the Illinois State Extension and the American Red Cross and many other community agencies to provide a “Family Time Out” recreation, social, educational programs and a support network for deployed families.  Once a month military children from infants to young teens can spend a fun filled afternoon at a local YMCA facility enjoying swimming, basketball, racquetball as well as crafts, tutoring, mentoring, and educational classes for the older kids like first aid and  babysitting classes from the Red Cross. During this time, parents can stay and enjoy the time with their children, or have a few hours to themselves that they may not have otherwise.  A time to have lunch with other military spouses, get their hair cut, or just go home and enjoy some quiet time.

Palmer College of Chiropractic
The Palmer/YMCA Child Care Center is located at 724 North Harrison St. The three-year old facility connects the best of two philosophies which are the backbones of Scott County. While the children at the center are immersed in the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, they are also given access to FREE chiropractic care at the location.

Pleasant Valley Community Schools
The Scott County Family Y and the Pleasant Valley School District began their partnership when Riverdale Elementary School on Devil’s Glen Road became a site for the Y’s Child Care & Family Services Kid’s Club. Riverdale has continued to host a site during the school year, as well as the summer for the Y’s Summer Fun Club.

Two Rivers YMCA
The Two Rivers YMCA in Moline, IL and the Scott County Family Y offer a Quad City-wide membership to the five local YMCA facilities and YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln. If you join one, you’re a member of them all! We’ve also partnered together for the National YMCA road race, employee health walks, Operation Family Time Out, and other community events.

Scott Community College
Scott Community College had a physical education program that provided an outstanding education. With the facilities of the Scott County Family Y, Scott was able to teach new classes such as racquetball. The successful partnership is just beginning, and we will watch with eager anticipation to see how this optimization of resources expands to the benefit of everyone in Scott County.

Silver Sneakers®
The Scott County Family Y teamed up with the Silver SneakersÒ program early in 2005. Already a proven winner, Silver SneakersÒ works with health care providers to structure a program that helps seniors both experienced with fitness and those who are new or not accustomed to exercise get acquainted with the benefits of a healthy, physically active lifestyle.

United Way
The Scott County Family Y is a proud partner agency with the United Way of the Quad City Area.  The United Way helps us to fund 5 program areas:  Membership scholarships, Childcare, Teen Center, Solutions and Superstars.  Without this important piece of our funding stream, these programs would not be available to everyone in need.
