Scott County Family Y
Building Character Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

The Scott County Family Y has served the Quad Cities since 1858.  This organization operates on the philosophy of serving all community residents and maintaining diverse funding streams: program service fees, grants, private contributions, public dollars, and private foundations.  This operating principle has kept the Scott County Family Y a strong, viable, and creative force in the community.  The staff who lead these programs are well-trained, committed individuals who have achieved professional certifications in each of their fields of expertise.  In addition, strong backgrounds in fiscal, personnel and program development ensure dollars collected by the organization are utilized as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The mission of the Scott County Family Y  is:

To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

We provide programs and services to assist each individual to overcome their most immediate obstacle to reach their God given potential.  We accomplish our mission by demonstrating and teaching the character traits of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

Efforts to fulfill our mission are evident in the programs and services we provide via our YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, YMCA childcare services and our four YMCA facilities: Davenport Family YMCA, North Family YMCA, West Family YMCA and  Bettendorf Family YMCA.

These great facilities are the tools that we use to do our work of teaching Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
