There’s a reason we call ourselves the Scott County Family Y. We know that loving families that concentrate on giving the abundant assets of love, support and encouragement are proven to be consistently more successful. Therefore, we want our Y to be a place where families can come for fun, to be recharged and energized. We not only want to be a part of the families in our community, but we also want to operate like a family ourselves, an environment where anyone can come to find support, love and encouragement. Our programs are designed with these ideals in mind.
Family Appreciation Nights
Come and get it! We’ve cooked up the perfect thing for a healthy family. Combining a little bit of everything the Scott County Family Y has to offer, our Family Appreciation Nights are some of the most popular activities at the YMCA. On an alternating basis, each one of our branch facilities plays host to a night of fun for every member of the family. There’s swimming, arts and crafts, gym time and lots of other activities designed to bring the family closer together while having a great time. Contact your local branch to find out when the next night will take place.
Parents Night Out
If you’re a parent looking to have a night out on the town without worrying about a babysitter or your children’s well-being, than this is just the thing for you! Not only will we take your kids off your hands for a few hours, but we’ll also show them a great time. While you’re getting some time to yourselves, your children will be swimming and playing in gym, starting new projects and laughing with their friends. On Saturday nights, the Scott County Family Y will provide peace of mind and the chance for a night out on the town, or just an evening alone at home. Our weekly Y-Zone is also the perfect place for teens to have a great, value-oriented night.
Operation: Family Time Out
There’s a reason USA Today singled out this program in its national news coverage. We realize what a tremendous strain having a loved one thousands of miles away fighting in a war can cause. To help out with this strain, we have a program specifically designed for families under this pressure. Contact our Child Care and Family Services to find out when the next Operation: Family Time Out will take place.
