Bricks and mortar! It takes a combination of community outreach and a first-rate facility to provide needed programs and services to our communities. Gifts to fund capital projects allow the YMCA to meet our mission every day through building construction projects, renovation, expansion and special equipment acquisition. “Building Communities, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” The Scott County Family Y worked diligently to raise the $23,000,000 needed for our unique collaborative county-wide expansion plan. These funds have come from cities, the county, the state, local and national foundations, corporations, and many individual donors. The new and renovated YMCA facilities are now open and we are serving over 24,000 members. We will also be providing programs to thousands of children and families this summer at our newly renovated YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln and Family Aquatic Center. The continued success of our facilities and programs depends on keeping them “state of the art” and updating our equipment.
