The YMCA isn’t just an expert in aquatics.  We invented it.  The YMCA had the first swimming pool, the first filtration systems, and the first campaign designed to teach swimming lessons to everyone. The YMCA is also responsible for pioneering life saving and SCUBA. Today, the YMCAs are the largest operators of swimming pools in the United States.

The Scott County Family Y has a swimming program designed just for you. Our 7 pools cater to every desire, from therapy, to play time, from lap swimming to exercise to socialization. We have youth aquatics for those ages 6 months to 18 years old. We also have adult aquatics classes for young teen, seniors and everyone in between.  Our senior aquatics classes are some of the most popular in our entire organization. We also offer swimming lessons for everyone, regardless of age or experience.  The Scott County Family Y also offers a flood of Specialty Aquatics classes, including diving, gym and swims and even floating movie nights.  In fact, we’ll even come teach a class in your backyard pool!
