After School Programs

The school bell rings. In a matter of minutes, the teachers, counselors, coaches and many of the other positive influences in a young person’s life go one way, and a host of distractions jump into the forefront. Although we realize the freedom of an afternoon is a tremendous gift, we also know that certain decisions can have a dramatic impact for years to come.

The Scott County Family Y’s After School programs have been designed to both encourage the freedom of a young person while providing a safe, structured environment that will lead to a happy life on the peak of full potential.

After School Action and Super Stars
Imagine if the best parts of school were combined. There wouldn’t be grades or tests or homework, just friends and fun and all the things that make the day enjoyable. Well, that’s what we’re trying to do with our After School Action and Super Stars programs. By keeping a good mix of freedom and programming, we hope to give young people a home away from home, one that gives kids and parents what they want. From kickball to trivia games, athletic training to arts and crafts, free time to on-site tutors, there’s a little bit of everything.  Call your branch for more information today.
